I approach my trauma coaching sessions with the intent on digging deep to the root of your pain. Some of the work we do together can be triggering so it is important that you are pre-pared to feel swells of emotion.  Fortunately, I'm really good at this, so we approach this with patience, care and consistency ;-)

WHAT TO EXPECT IN A TRAUMA RECOVERY COACHING SESSION

I am now working on a sliding scale because everyone is feeling the financial crunch.  Contact me .

Talk, Tears, Time.  The genius Psychotherapist, Peter Walker had it right.  Those three components constitute good, thorough healing from trauma.  Why talk? Un-silencing ourselves is the first act of wrestling back our self worth. When the tears flow the nervous system balances. Do this over time, with the right intention and you will arrive at your final destination safely.

Our sessions will vary in emotional tone and focus. It's my job to understand your ebbs and flows.  We may set an Action Plan where we define healing goals and work in tandem towards them.  We may talk about topics that shake you to the core, we may take spells of time to learn to soothe that shaken core.  It all depends. However, I view healing from trauma as a two step process:

Step 1: Learn to self soothe

Step 2: Learn to self love ("self respect" if the "L" word is to "woo woo" for you.)

Simple in theory, but we need tools and support to pull it off.
